Thank you for all the fun of nowd. If you could go to the sign in post and reply to it with your TOTAL WORD COUNT for the night, once you're finished that would be awesome. Thank you so much for all the fun!

Want to show support for your team or just exhibit madness? Need a break from writing and want a quick way to kill time? Then use this entry to show your support for your team! Reply to it with music, gifs whatever that show just how much you love your team! Just be sure to reply to the right comment, or it might be counted for the pirates (because everyone knows they're nothing but thieves and drunkards)

Overall Rules to a Happy NOWD

1. Respect your mods. They are volunteering their time. If you get out of line, they will put you OUT of the room. So respect them.
2. Do NOT be the first to talk when you enter the room. If you've been to a sprint room before and still don't know this rule there's something truly wrong with you and you should probably see a doctor to figure out your cognitive skills.
3. Sprints and games will be varied in length. Some will be one minute. Some may be thirty. Deal with it. You might like long, you might like shorts. GUESS WHAT? We can't please everyone all the time so we're gonna please no one and mix things up. If you hate short ones and there's a long sprint deal with it until we run a short one and visa versa.
4. Grab a pen and write your goal for the night. You should average around 1000 words an hour if you do every sprint and game.
5. We're gonna have theme songs. If you hate the song, well our work is done.
6. PARTICIPATE! Write, sprint, play the games! It's as much fun as you make it.
7. Show team spirit! Go Pirates! Go Ninjas! Go Dinos! Just cheer for your team! We will be keeping score over the course of the night. If you wanna win well... yeah :)
8. Don't troll. Don't be an ass. Don't be that guy. No one likes that guy.
9. Finally, have fun. Or else.

AS most of you know, tomorrow is the NIGHT OF WRITING DANGEROUSLY.

festivities kick off at 4pm EST with the pre-party and the main event, with sprints, starts at 5pm EST and ends at 11pm with the awards ceremony. We'll continue the night with the post party until around 2 am, so that makes for a long and AMAZING NIGHT.

I'm going to make you a guarantee. If you come and sprint, giving it your all, from 5 until 11, you are GUARANTEED a minimum of 6000 words added to your word count. Now tell me, who could use an additional 6,000 words? I could! How about you?

We're going to have games and prompts and all kinds of wild and crazy events, as well as teams!

Which brings us to the information below.

We'd like you to sign up for which team you want. We're going to (for the most part) let y'all pick what team you want. We have three teams:

Pirates
Ninjas
Dinosaurs

So if you feel a drawing towards one sprint or another, sign on up for your team! If you don't care, there's a spot for "Whatever" and we'll assign you to a team to even things up.

Now why are we doing teams? It's pretty simple: several challenges are going to be team based, pitting the various teams against each other, and it helps to keep the flow down in all the rooms! When you sign up, there's an information blurb below as to what room you're going to enter and tomorrow we'll post more information directing you in the right direction!

So sign on up and find OUT SOME AMAZING THINGS!
