Its 2 months to go so I thought some pre nanowrimo promotion wouldn't go astray

I've been planning my NaNovel for ages... it's going to be a sci-fi action-adventure something like the last one I did, set in a galaxy where lightspeed+ transmissions don't work but lightspeed+ ships still do.
But! Today while watching the race on Gaia online I was beaten upside the head with the idea to make my NaNovel a huge Gaia Online fanfic. It's the perfect setting for weirdness, I'd get to write about Gino, and I have had a sort of plot pooling in my brain for a while... Gino, running away from home, runs into a girl with a lot of pets (my character... yeah.) and they end up travelling halfway across the world to escape a very very angry Gambino.

Which sounds better? Which should I do? Should I try both? (switching between chapters, with two different stories rather than two that connect (is that even allowed? XD)) Do I think too much?

Hey. Just joined. I actually created a new free account dedicated solely to my NaNoWriMo endeavors. Figured that'd be better than bogging down my personal journal (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

You know how people have brain storms and whatnot? Well, I just had a freakin' brain hurricane. I was thinking about my novel that I'll be writing, and this idea just hit me like an epiphany.
If you look at my character list and really analyze the last names, you'll notice that each person represents one of the 12 signs of the greek zodiac. I won't bore you with telling you what each person is because I think you're all intelligent enough to figure it out anyway. But anyway, on to my epiphany...
The first twelve chapters/sections of my beloved novel will be strictly character introduction and each character's chapter will start with a horoscope of his/her zodiac sign pulled from a newspaper. Seriously, I love it.
Don't have a plot yet, but it will come.
