Hi all, guess I'll join the crowd. I failed miserabley in 2003 at my first attempt at Nano. But last year I happily succeeded thanks to far better preperation. I am still not sure If I am going to try to do NaNo this year since I just started college and I'm taking a class in novel writing and I'm not sure if I can juggle that story with NaNo.
If I do NaNo this year I have a couple of interesting charcters looking for a plot. Yoshi McCarthy, a half-Japanese Marine brat and Evan Berger, a kid adopted from Saudia Arabia virtually at birth. Anyway I'm thinking of exploring some aspects of racism from these two fully American characters that just happen to look different.
As for myself, I'm 26, just started college like noted above, and I have a husband currently in Iraq until the middle of next year. No kids, two cats, and a modicum of ambition.
