nanowrimo_ljQuestion for those who live in Los Angeles - I grew up in southern Arizona and visited LA quite a lot when I was a kid - mid-1980s to mid-1990s. I remember hearing about a bookstore that was in an old movie theater. It was supposed to be gigantic, really excellent place. I think it might have closed since then, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, I would really like to send my two characters to that bookstore in 1998. Or any off-the-beat, fantastic old bookstore. Preferably with a coffee shop that isn't Starbucks around the corner. Do any of you have any suggestions? I'll make it up quite happily, if I need to, but I like going for accuracy when I can!
