Wowwwww. I almost cut that line. It's such an utterly over-the-top whiny emo teenager thing to say that the writer in me recoiled from even typing it.

Then I reminded myself that my narrator is an over-the-top whiny emo teenager - and that in her world, those words are gospel truth.
