The Key to Greatness

I finally figured out what I've been doing wrong. Every year I feel like I have to have this long, tedious section at the beginning where my characters find out all about what's going on. You know what I mean; One of those "You're a wizard, Harry" moments, only mine last for eight chapters or so before exciting things begin to happen. This year, I haven't even gotten to that point yet! My characters are still all meeting each other and having stupid, pointless conversations!

Well I'll tell you what's going to happen now. I'm going to start over from a point where my characters have already met and already know everything. And no matter what ridiculous things happen, everyone will act as if they are perfectly normal, and no wise old men will try to explain the nature of the universe or why everything happens. It just DOES, okay?

And I will have chocolate and be happy and write 10,000 words or so tonight so I won't feel like a complete loser.

Muahaha.
