It's hard to kill someone you love. Even when they're a character in one of your novels.

The first (and prior to that) murders in the serial killer story I'm doing for NaNo, only the people in the story care about. I didn't much. This one I like so much. I hated writing his murder. But I just now killed him.

I ended up quitting my NaNoWriYe project two years ago because I couldn't bring myself to killing my main character, so I feel for you.

I got myself around the problem this WriMo by doing the death scene and funeral as my very first writing section, to avoid becoming too attached to the character this time around.
