It's partially muse issues, partially being the mom of a darn near 2 month old that I'm bfing that's causing me to want to bow out. It just doesn't leave much time at all for writing. I'm taking advantage of her sleeping after seeing my husband off to work to even just write this comment.
The muse has exited stage right. My villain has to make an appearance but I'm not sure how to do that since he's a non-corporeal being bound to the journal my MC now possesses. My MC is currently getting drunk because she witnessed her professor's suicide and has no plans to do otherwise for at least a few days in noveltime. So how to kick her in the butt, I have no idea... And I still have to find other disasters to create off of her wishes for things to go right in her life.
Maybe the power goes out in the MC's apartment? Her pet runs away? Toilet overflows? Just something stupid to jolt her out of her drunken stupor, maybe. I'm only at 3k myself, but every time I want to give up I read something here that makes me want to give it another shot :)

And that's where I'm at.
