Cravings due to your novel?

My characters have been stuck in breakfast time their time for three days my time now! They've already had two breakfasts in their one morning, AND I DON'T HAVE ANY CHEESE DANISH IN MY FRIDGE!!! This has produced the most severe cravings on my behalf ... especially considering that I've quarantined myself due to having the swine flu right now, and so the earliest I'll be able to leave home to go to the particular store that sells good Danish is sometime Sunday (two days from now), provided that I get better (which I need to so that I can go to work on Monday)....

But that got me to wondering, have any of you had a situation in your novel that made you crave something? Or has a craving of yours worked its way into the pages of your novel? (Mine just did....)

BROWNIES.

I was writing about a character making brownies because she was PMSing, and it made me want brownies SO BAD. Unfortunately, I was babysitting, so I couldn't get brownies. And then it was 1am, and I had to come home. I just had a bowl of cheerios, but I am not really satisfied. I think I'll be making brownies tomorrow. With little butterfinger bars in them. Or marshmallows. And I'm buying a whole new carton of milk to go with said brownies. And it will be GLORIOUS.

It makes me crave playing Earthbound, but then I usually just go and play Earthbound.

Nicotine!
My characters tend to smoke when they are stressed out, even if they normally don't.
I don't smoke any more, for some years now.

OMG yes!

I was writing a dinner proposal, and my boy made shrimp Alfredo and peanut butter brownies for his lover.

While I actually started craving chicken Alfredo, not shrimp (not a big seafood fan and my stepdad makes it with Cajun style chicken and OMG!), I was pretty hungry.

I definitely wrote about licorice and gummy bears last night and totally wished I had some. Hah.

Well, my characters were drinking red wine, but then again, I was actually having some myself at the time, so I'm not quite sure which came first. :D

I am really craving a dip in a hot-water spring, too, but that's not quite as easy to come by as a bottle of red wine.

With little butterfinger bars in them.

I APPROVE OF THESE BROWNIES.

Yes. Waffles with Real Maple Syrup. Made by a Waffle Iron. I was hungry.

I ended up getting falafel, which is good but not the same.
