look! another intro!
Well, I guess I should say hello before the insanity begins.
Hi there. My name's Hanna and I'm one of many masochistic first timers. I found out about Nano last year midway through November and was very bummed about not being able to participate. I've been obsessing over this year's since midway through August, and I still don't have a very clear idea of where I'm going to go with my story. I've been writing for a long time, exactly how long is hazy. The earliest piece I can find is a horrible Mary Sue Pokemon fic from 5th or 6th grade. I've gotten better. I swear. I live in Montreal and though being on the verge of entering university, I have no idea what I want to do with my life. :)
Though I usually write fanfiction, I've always wanted to do something original and chock full of high fantasy. Oddly enough, my story so far revolves around a spirit world in the Toronto underground that as far as I can tell is a weird mixture of Charles de Lint's urban fantasies, Miyazaki's Spirited Away, and various fairytales relating to the faerie courts. The plot is fragmented and utterly insane. There is no title. I am going to die, but at least I'll go down writing!
