I have an issue in real life that will disrupt my Nano and I'd like some advice on how I should proceed.

On November 1st, I have a Japanese student coming to stay with me for twelve days. I'll effectively be loosing half of November.

My friend, [livejournal.com profile] shinabu, also in the same position is starting her Nano next week which is something that I really don't want to have to do. I know it wouldn't feel the same if I broke into my word count early.

My options as I see them are,

i) Work whenever I can. Late nights, early mornings, whenever I can find my way to an Internet café in between. The thing I'm worried most about with this is being much too tired to enjoy what I think is a really excellent opportunity. I want to make the most of my time with my exchange partner.

ii) Not start until the eighteenth. It would mean 4000 words a night at least. November is a busy month for a lot of reasons. I'm not sure how realistic this option is.

iii) There's always next year.

Any advice at all would be great. Feel free to Donate a Character even though I may not be able to use them.
