NaNo Pep Card: Day 14

Novelist Amy Bender surrounds her writing desk with a dozen synonyms for the word "faith." Why? It helps remind her that, however confusing her story may seem at the moment, its point will become clear if she just keeps writing. And it always does.

As you enter your fourteenth day of writing, make and post a sign that will help you remember that things are going to work out great in the end.

Today's flashcard from the No Plot? No Problem! writing kit, the genius brainchild of Chris Baty.

Mine is a quote from the literary agent Miss Snark, who sadly doesn't blog anymore: "You have to write something you love so much that it never enters your mind 'Am I wasting my time?' because to *not* write it would be wasting your heart."

I have it taped to the hutch of my desk to remind me why I do what I do. Because I love it more than I love life itself.

Oh dear... That's precisely what I've been thinking since yesterday. :(
