Music Mondays

Once again it is time to listen to some tunes! Feel free to share in the comments songs you love to listen to while writing, ask for song suggestions, and discuss how music you are listening to can aid the writing process for different scenes.

I usually don't right to music, it distracts me when I'm trying to think. However when I'm not trying to write seriously, heck yeah I love to put on some really wonky stuff for inspiration. Nothing wrong with a little Ellie Goulding or Usher:) or occasionally Brittany Spears and some Iron Maiden

If anybody is writing anything creepy, YouTube has a TON of dark ambient stuff; some of the tracks are over an hour long! The cryochamberlabel has some really good tracks.

I have a 'sad', 'dramatic', 'creepy', and 'various' playlist (considering adding happy and/or feels) for writing, made up of instrumental songs from movies, games, etc. It's good to get me into the right headspace. Anything with words, though, is just distracting; if I have to listen to rock or pop or something, I do it in a language I can't understand.
