And NaNo? Ends in 17 days. (yikes!)

Like last week, if you're behind, whether it's 1K or 10K (like me), today I'm challanging you to MOVE YOUR BUTT AND MAKE IT UP!

In replies, I want those behind to post your wordcount. Don't be ashamed, in fact you'll find out you're so not alone. Then, every free minute you have, write. Just start going, and forget about looking back. Skip to sections you really want to write. Write porn if you must (just hide it at work under what you really should be doing). Hell, have your MC go off on an internal dialogue about his disgust for liver and brussel sprouts.

so sorry. I bow to you! My own cold has been my troubles... no energy, sleepy all the time.

I know someone who is nearly finished with her nano and midmonth last year finished. Another friend kicked it in the last week starting completely over. So there are people that recover. I am telling you this but aiming it back at me (11,302 and seeming at a stand still... see my entry below.)

My problems/excuses this darn cold lack of energy and then my MC got hung up in what is often a RL problem for me: what to get her friends for the Holidays. Her friend can time travel and morph into anything she wants (form, clothing and environment included) and her other new friend is a cat person who got adopted as a kitten but has proven to be quite adept at anything humans can do. MC is grateful to have these new friends and is taking them to meet the folks (as friend and kitten). For folks she is making altered cards for Thanksgiving. But Christmas must be given on this same trip as they may be time tripping and gene popping at Christmas. And if this last TT/GP is any indication it is going to be a knuckle buster. Anyway,for sister (who will grow to be head of an entire planet [first nano book through #3] but is an insecure pianist right now) she is giving a scrapbook about their father (orchestra leader killed in car crash a couple years before), for Mom a knitted sweater. Stepdad is a problem too. Is this fiction imitating RL I got into this cause RL isn't any fun especially this season!

OK, that out of my system and still doesn't count toward wordage... HELP! YIKES!

I quit my job at the end of October. I purposely haven't found a new one yet so I could do NANO. Midterms are over and my next round of tests isn't until the week before finals. No research papers, no anything.
I have 10 pounds of Halloween chocolate and as an early bday present, I got a $100 GC to Sbux.
Prime Nano-ing conditions, right?

...... I'm busy writing a 'real' novel to be published. And the plot keeps getting in the way of my Nano. As in, my Nano has NO plot. And I can't use the RN because it's already more than half done. And if I tack on an extra 50,000 it will be too long.

That's right. November 13th and I have a great big old word count of ZERO.
