As many of you will recall, especially if you have been regular visitors to mainstream bookstore cafes that serve Starbucks, Writer's Chai was dropped because it competed with Starbucks' chai products. I wrote an impassioned letter to Republic of Tea promising them that if they re-introduced the product for general distribution, writers would snap it up and make it worth their while. I'm not going to suggest that my one letter made the difference, but hey, did any of you write letters asking for it back? Well, then..hmm!
