Yesterday morning I was having a few concerns that I was going to hit a plot wall at the end of my current chapter. A crime was to take place but I had no idea of the mechanics. This is from a woman addicted to crime thrillers.

I'd only shared in my journal that there was this wall on the horizon that I was concerned about getting over/through without mentioning it was the crime. When my husband came home from work the first thing he said to me after hello was that on the drive home he'd had an idea about how the crime, which was foreshadowed in the last chapter he'd read, was going to take place. He was fishing to see if he was right. I confessed that the actual mechanics was what had been foxing me all day and over a cup of tea he told me his idea, which turned out to fit perfectly. With that hurdle crossed as well as the 30K mark, I feel a lot more confident in the plot as well as grateful to him. I have an LJ friend who also has been raising the odd technical query as well, which has helped me focus.

Aside from this plot assistance, he is being superb about bringing me tea when I am writing away and understanding that I am a little distracted at the moment. Once this is over I plan on giving him a treat for his much appreciated support.
