It just hit me that November is a heck of a lot closer than I imagined.

Either case, I've messed around a bit in Photoshop and came up with a cover for my novel. If you're into YA fantasy, you may be interested!




This novel is in the magical realism genre, bordering on fantasy. It deals with Serene, an abused 16-year-old in foster care. Serene has begun to shut down, both to the outside world, and to the people she loves. Asriel, reincarnation of Hades, finds her a curious case, and decides to observe her. Serene reminded him much of Persephone.

Serene is sexually abused by her foster father and has little memory of anything good happening in her life. Asriel tries to help her remember and forget the miserable. He comes to her in her dreams and manages to fall in love with her. He has good reason to wanting to pull her into darkness and his arms, to peace. All that is left in Serene's life is pain.

What choice does she have?
