I'll delurkify for a moment...
M'name's Morgan, Darksong Shadowhart over on the forums (where I really don't post much at all,) and this year marks my third(!) attempt at NaNoWriMo. Nothing much has been salvageable from years past, so I really don't feel like going much in depth there at all, except to say this: it was very ugly.
Anyway, this year will mark two new things for my writing: firstly, I'm at college now, and taking three foreign languages this semester. This shows that my insanity level is off the charts- college is gonna be a double edged sword for my writing- there's the 5+ hours a day of homework, but I can stay up 'til 4 AM writing without getting yelled at- if I manage to write instead of... oh, say... playing Puzzle Pirates. Secondly, this is the first year that I'll have people around me doing NaNo- this is to say, the first year I'll be able to do any face-to-face enemity and support.
As for a plot? I've got nothing. Whatsoever. There's not even any particular characters wandering around to do anything interesting with at this point. I'm planning on highly caffienating myself on October 31, starting at about 11:30, and turning on the laptop at midnight and seeing what comes out, b'sides, "crap, I should be finishing my Linguistics."
Yup. That's where I'm at right now. I'm hoping college will be a little less stressy by then, I'll be into a vaguely normal routine, and I'll know how to deal with im-bloody-possible linguistics assignments, like the one I should be doing now. :-) For any of you who need to get 'hold of me, you are perfectly welcome to friend me, and all the contact stuff in my userinfo is correct.
Peace, love and pretzels!
Morgan
