Hey Nano writers! It's mid-September, and I'm bringing
nanowarmup back to life! We'll be doing regular writing exercises to get back into the habit of writing, for those of us who don't write year-round. Nothing stressful, we're not trying to burn out before November, just reminding ourselves that writing is fun, and getting pumped up for our novels!
This year, I also want to focus more on character and plot preparation before the actual writing starts. I have found that having an outline helps to give the Nano novel direction, without which our novels might go all over the place, in our desperate attempts to meet word count at any cost. And really getting into the characters helps keep the momentum going for the whole novel.
So join us in preparing for NaNoWriMo and getting into the spirit of novel-writing!
