For the way this works, I direct you to the (first post). Remember not to uncover your popsicle sticks until you're ready for them. That is, don't uncover your first non sequitur until you have completed the first line section.

And, as always, reply to this post with your results. We had some really long entries last time, so if you feel that your post might break LJ's comment machine (and believe me, I've done it!), feel free to post it in your journal and tag this thread with a link instead.

The First Sentence
Choose: One
Writing Time: 6 minutes

First Line #1: I had this system for getting exactly what I wanted out of people.

First Line #2: I loved the way she said "balloon." She said it as if she were blowing bubbles.

The Non Sequitur
Choose: One (OR choose one, write for time, choose the other, write for time)
Writing Time: 3 minutes

Non Sequitur #1: She started taking up a lot of bad habits.

Non Sequitur #2: The plane was two hours late.

The Last Straw
Choose: One
Writing Time: 6 minutes

Last Straw #1: the hole in his sock

Last Straw #2: the thing she did to the breaks on the Honda
