Just for fun, how do your major antagonists, if any, stack up on the Evil Overlord List?

I checked mine, and the results surprised me a little, even though the characters fit fairly predictable archetypes.

I just turned the sentiment "I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE" into "I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN EVER FOR THE WHOLE REST OF MY LIFE AS LONG AS I CONTINUE TO INHALE OXYGEN AND EXHALE CARBON DIOXIDE" for the sake of upping my word count just that little extra bit. 27 words as opposed to 12? Not bad. :)

I just discovered that if you accidentally transpose the first two letters of psychiatrist, you get spychiatrist, which for some odd reason strikes me as a very funny word.

It also leads me to conclude two things:

(1) There really should be a profession called a spychiatrist, although I'm not sure exactly what they'd do (a therapist for secret agents, perhaps?).
(2) I really should get some sleep.

That is all.

Cross-posted to my journal ([livejournal.com profile] cscottd), because it's simply too silly not to.

I really like the bit I just put up as my profile excerpt. I thought I'd share.

I am so incredibly far behind, and I'm coming to you for help. I've found something that fuels my muse and makes my plotbunnies thump their feet in excitement: freak-outs. Those little fears that make all the hair on the back of your neck stand up, your stomach churn, and make you suddenly yearn for a teddybear to clutch. When I hear about something that unsettles a particular person, I find myself inspired to add onto my story, expand the characters personalities, and make my readers squirm in their seats (I'm writing horror, so that's a good thing).

So please, for the sake of my NaNo, tell me what freaks you out, no matter how irrational or small.

Me: *picks up reference novel* Oh, Great Reference Novel! I have a question!

'Good Omens': (...)

Me: One of my supporting characters has been hinting that, for various plot related reasons, he would be better as a girl. Should I make him female?

Me: *flips through the pages of the book, stops on a random page, and reads the first complete sentence on the page*

'Good Omens': It had dark hair, and red lips, and green eyes, and it was almost certainly female.

Me:...Thank you, great book. I do believe it is obvious what I must do...

Mods feel free to delete, but I didn't see a WC post and this is just too good not to share.

I am now at 25530 words! I have written 5803 of those words just today. I was at 19727 words as of yesterday....

go me!!! All my characters that are supposed to form the team of people who find out who is putting on the game are now at Jadreth's compound and the scene where the MC gets injured will more than likely be written either later tonight or tomorrow. I would have liked to have gotten there today, but oh well. I'm just soooo extremely excited right now, just woooooooooot!!!!
