on the subject of African-sounding names

Ok, that's it, I've been avoiding this for over 32,000 words and I really need to find a name/background culture for one of my supporting characters. Since I'm writing fantasy, it can be a completely fictional place and society, but I'm really out of my depth here since I want it all to be sort of African in origin. And besides, I am notoriously bad with names. Can anyone help me?

Not only did today's Pep Card simultaneously vindicate and terrify me, but it brought to mind that one Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvin needs to write a story for class and instead of writing he's playing in his sandbox with Hobbes. Hobbes calls him on it, and Calvin chastises him by stating that one does not simply turn on creativity like a faucet; one must wait for the proper mood to strike. Hobbes innocently asks what mood that might be, and Calvin - without missing a beat - states simply: Last minute panic.
