Day Sprints 8-11 am EST: [livejournal.com profile] riverwynne
Night of Writing Drunkenly 8-2 am EST : [livejournal.com profile] jupitersings

Sprints will be held either in the web chat, or on AIM. It is the decision of the individual mods. Primarily we will use the web chat, though we are testing the AIM chats occasionally to see if we can return to them without trolls.

Also, if you are unable to use Aim, the webclient, or in general just want writing buddies to chat with, we've created a post here: http://community.livejournal.com/nanowrimo/2283325.html

For information on sprints, and our rules, please refer to this post: http://community.livejournal.com/nanowrimo/2238112.html#cutid1

Where: NaNoDaySprints on AIM.

If you can't get into the web sprints, I'll be in here probably all day (at least, until the Night of Writing Drunkenly). For the most part, sprints are for 15 minutes, with 10 minute breaks, but I might mix it up a bit.

FYI, not all word counters count alike, which is really counterintuitive.  That said, at least based on my experience, those using Microsoft Office 2007 who are struggling to stretch their story those final few hundred words may want to run their story through the official word counter on The Site.  In my case, I had 50,760 words according to Office 2007; when I ran it though the official counter, I was "gifted" 110 words.

It may not be a lot, but for those who are desperately close but barely able to squeeze a few more words into their story to hit the 50k mark, it may be worth running the story through the word counter anyhow - it might result in a pleasant surprise :-)

I've been doing NaNoWriMo since 2003, and this is my first win. I'm not entirely sure what was different about this year, but I did it!

Yesterday I went past 51K, and today I'm at 55K. (I have to keep going - the book is only 2/3 done!) The really cool thing is that I have been Nanoing since 2004, and this is the first time I finished before the 30th!
