- I didn't win. I wrote 20k (I hoped for 25k) but then real life kicked in and kept me from writing
- Knowing how to begin is the most important thing
- Free hand writing is the right thing for me when I intend to write longer things
- 50 k is too much for me. Any suggestions for alternative communities that work in a similar way but with lesser wordcount?

I don't really feel like a loser, though, because I haven't written that much in such a short time ever before.

Well, according to Word's word count, I'm behind by like 200-300 words, but I found this Word Count Tool online and when I used that, it added about 1500 words to my word count. O.O I just wanted to ask if anyone else has found this/used it and knows if it's relatively accurate compared to the official verification on the official website. Because you know... if I really *am* up 1500 words... *happy dance*

Anyone else hit a Second Week Slump? I have, unfortunately. I'm behind on my word count by two days. I don't know if it's because I've been running out of time lately, given school and homework, but even when I have time after a test in class, I never seem to have the right amount of inspiration for my thoughts to flow properly. It's pretty frustrating, to say the least, since I'm hell bent on making it this year...

Anyone else with Second Week Slump stories to share? Or am I the only one suffering through this fallow time period? (I doubt I am)

Anyways, keep going wonderful NaNo writers! Keep up the great work and good luck for the rest of November! :)
