*slides in under the goal, fists pumped into the air* Oh my various gods I got to 48k and I HAD TO FINISH I couldn't sleep so close to it and I'm not even halfway done with the story maybe 1/3rd and gonna write more and more this is the earliest I've ever won oh my god eeeeee~

Topic used to cross the 50k line: Explaining to Moira how the baby got in Mommy Dionne's body. A Lego analogy was used to describe cells.

Feel free to share an excerpt from your novel here, though we ask that you keep it to PG-13, and if there are any triggers please list them in the title of your comment for people to see.

Please try to keep it under 1500 words for the sake of LJ not liking very long comments.

I accidentally posted your Writer Wednesday a day early, so you guys can get two this week! :D
Jill has been with the [livejournal.com profile] allyear_sprints family for years, and while she's not a moderator for the community (because apparently some people have lives. Weird, I know.) She is definitely one of the members we most appreciate and respect. :D

WHEN: 12pm - 3pm EASTERN
WHERE: DAYSPRINTS
WHO: SarahNaNo

Big deal:
First series of sprints for 20k in 13 hours. Thought up by [livejournal.com profile] writingvixen. You write 1500 words an hour. If you're behind, this is a perfect time to catch up!

Remember:
DO NOT SPEAK until spoken to!

Sprints too hectic? Write-or-Die too hard-core and intimidating? Try this website. With each 100 words you type (or more if you like a challenge) it shows you a picture of a cute kitten. What more do you need?

“I haven’t had trouble with writer’s block. I think it’s because my process involves writing very badly. My first drafts are filled with lurching, clichéd writing, outright flailing around. Writing that doesn’t have a good voice or any voice. But then there will be good moments. It seems writer’s block is often a dislike of writing badly and waiting for writing better to happen.”

HEEEEEEY I know you're all distracted by the cats and kittens over on http://writtenkitten.net, but that doesn't mean you can't join us!

WHO: YOU!
WHAT: NaNoWriteIn chatroom on AIM!
WHEN: Now!
HOW: Come on in, or IM xcagesorwingsx if you need an invite!
WHY: We're not a sprinting room, we're a room for general chat. Plot help, whining, complaining, general silliness may occur. Come in and say hello!

The theme tonight is deviled eggs. Why? Because that's what I'm cooking for my Thanksgiving lunch thing at work tomorrow. Come and watch the explosions!
