...And for some reason, I'm embarrassed. Bah. But oh well, I'm having so much fun.

Black and white? Right and wrong? The pieces of the puzzle don't always fit so easily...
It has been over two hundred years since the fall of the kingdom of Aramithra. Most people chalk it up to disease, an enemy ploy, any number of things. The fate of a small country in ancient history is of little concern to them. But no one else in the world is privy to the information contained in the many letters and diaries that have been secretly discovered by the obsessed Colin Marim.
These documents lead him to a new hypothesis, one nothing short of scandalous. "The fall of Aramithra was caused by nothing more than sheer humanity, misunderstanding, and uncontrollable emotional reactions." His obsession with the culture and the history bleeds through as he conveys with excitement his thoughts on exactly what happened that fateful month two hundred years ago. And how the tangled and ultimately fatal web of passion and manipulation that pervaded the High Court forever altered the course of history.
"We tend to see the figures of history parading before us in simplified idealized romanticized form. What most of us don't realize is that they were not in fact that simple. They were not the victims of a single tragic flaw or a foretold destiny. They were no different than you or I. Fallible, proud, reactionary, insecure, passionate, desperate, and above all... supremely human."
