Jeremy stood, looking at all that was around him; a seemingly endless expanse of clouds. He saw not a soul, as he expected of heaven, if this were in fact heaven. For all he knew it could be hell. Who would torture a person by letting them believe they were god. He looked back at himself expecting to see the yellow light again, but found himself looking as he did before his death. He still questioned that. He could be in a coma, and this was an elaborate world dreamed up by his near dead brain.
He was wearing a blue plaid looking shirt, one of his favorites. The darkest blue in the short sleeved button down matched the color of the jean shorts that covered a decent portion of his lower torso. He felt as though he were still alive, all his senses functioning. He pinched himself wondering if pain would affect him in heaven. He felt a tingling sensation, like when an arm or other appendage falls asleep, but it was concentrated on the spot that he pinched. It didn't hurt him, but it wasn't an entirely pleasurable experience.
He ran to his immediate left for a few seconds before attempting a cartwheel. Something he had never been able to accomplish on the hard earth. The spongy feeling surface beneath him supported both of his hands as he landed, and provided an additional push in response to pushing away to land back right side up. He landed the cartwheel and laughed loudly. He caught himself and looked around guiltily, hoping he hadn't disturbed anyone.
Suddenly a tingling at the back of his scalp, just where it met the neck, he felt like someone was pulling on the base of his brain. It tickled slightly, and he cocked his head to the side to try to make it go away. Suddenly he found himself dematerializing, and falling into the cloud like surface below him.
