Hello! I'm azuremonkey. This is my first year doing NaNo officially by joining the comms and dedicating myself to a word count and all that. I'm very nervous because I am not a *fast* writer and typica on any writing day, I deleted about half the words I've written.

Maybe during NaNo I shouldn't do that last part! :P

Hey! I'm Elly. This is my first year - I only learned what it was last year, and I can't quite remember if I was too late to do it or just lazy. At any rate, I decided yesterday to do NaNo this year, totally on a whim (which is the best possible reason, am I right?) but in spite of rushing headlong into disaster, I'm really excited and ready to write. Tomorrow.

Anyway, I hope to have fun, meet some awesome folks here, and get to 50,000 words before the end of this week.

Hi! I'm me (and by me I mean nanogirl2008). I'm in it to win it this year. I've been doing it since '06. And...well, I'm all kinds of crazy. I'm a social writer but this year I'm going to write without the internet and see if it helps so I'll only be online for word wars and the like.

Hi! I go by Beauty online. This is going to be my first year participating in NaNo, after the not so subtle hints dropped by an online friend of mine that it's a great experience. I've wanted to join before, but always forgot before October even rolled around. I'm currently in school, but I'm taking next semester off to scrounge up some money for a move from Missouri to Washington state. Thankfully NaNo comes before all of that or I would never get anything done.

Anyway...I'll stop my rambling. I should be working on my very plotless novel. I've yet to get anything down and it's ben four hours! So, good luck to everyone else!

this is my first year and a friend of mine mentioned it to me last night! i've heard of this before, but was never in a place in my life where i could dedicate time and energy to it! this year i am.
i'm not sure how much to post in this intro.. :) i live on my own with my son (95% of the time he lives with me..), i work part time and am just enjoying my life on my own (as i'm separated) and have recently moved into my own place. :) my genre is erotic fiction :) ok! heh! time to go write as the Muses are calling!

Hey, I'm Mat. this is my second year doing NaNo. I won with just over 100,000 words last year but I'm not aiming quite so high this year.

However, I am getting ahead early, hence being at nearly 14,000 words. It's because I have exams in the middle of the month, which means that I want at least 50,000 words by the 15th. Yes, I am panicking a little.
