I'm just about to start my daily writing. Yesterday I managed 1,727 words. Not as much as I would have liked but enough to make 50k and then some.

So far I've got 7,349. So that's 923 words written today. I'm not too fussed just now. I'm ahead of myself and I'm hoping that I can crank out another 3,000 this evening (we're off to the cinema in half an hour so I'm taking a break for now).

I'm so excited by this start, I'm still only at the very beginning of my story. I was quite worried that I would manage to churn out two thousand words in the first day but suddenly be half way through the story and spend the next week frantically trying to pad what I've already written.
