Date: 2008-11-16 11:58 pm (UTC)I woke up this morning with the horrible feeling that I didn't know what was going to happen next and I'd be totally stymied trying to fill out those last 10,000 words, tripping and falling flat at the last hurdle! But by noon I'd figured out a plausible complication, so now what I need to do is write some kind of transition, to get the characters from one place to another without them acting like total idiots.

I'm super pumped because 1. I've never gotten past 9k, and I had two previous attempts, 2. I've been down because I'm so flighty about everything and this proves to myself that I can finish something, ever.

Date: 2008-11-17 04:23 am (UTC)slow and steady. i'm trying to keep to a quota of somewhere between the minimum 1667 words per day and 2200; this will get to to 50k by the end of the month, and a little over, but the story will be far from over. no worries.Possibly by february, when i can begin editing it for public consumption.
