Tara’s subconscious looked at her with eyes that were full of sadness. There were no words spoken, but Marlena knew that Tara was aware of her now. She watched as a woman with half of her head missing walked down the hall to stand in the center of the lobby. This vision looked up to the sky and screamed, a banshee wail that had Marlena wishing she could shut her ears to the sound. Turning back to the girl behind the counter, Marlena was horrified to see that where she had, seconds ago, had eyes, she now had blank spaces; large gaping holes of bleeding darkness in her head.
