Sorry I posted this in the wrong place yesterday. I read through the rules fairly quickly and misread them. But anyway...
My name is Ross. I've participated in NaNoWriMo the last two years, finished it one year, didn't the other. The one I did finish was a Cyberpunk distopia mess, and the other was a Fantasy story that I haven't finished yet. This year, I'm planning on doing a story based in a zombie apocalypse. While I do have a rough outline of a plot, anybody have cliches or common trends they hate in zombie stories and would prefer not to see?

Hi. I'm new and I have a problem...

Nano and a craft fair in the same month while doing a regular job. I figure i'll write in my lunch breaks mostly.

I'm doing a novel about vampires and werewolves (both of which don't exist according to both the main protagonists..) and obviously, hoping i'll make 50.000

this will be my writing LJ.

Hey, you! At first I was like, "What's the problem?" before I read back over your comment again. :-/ Good luck balancing those two! I'm in luck this year because it's my first go so I'm super excited AND I happen to be unemployed for the time being so I'm rife with free time. XD

Your idea sounds like it's right up my alley these days! Would it be impolite to ask you to expand further? :-)

*grins* ...2000 chap stick that need cleaning up and labelling still, 1320 soap bars that need cleaning and packing and 400 or so sugar scrub cubes to make and pack....piece of cake right?!

My tip from last year when I was unemployed and 'would do nano;.....Schedule time in and stick to it religously or you will procrastinate teh time away and not even start...like I did.

Hi, I'm from Ontario and this is going to be my second year at NanoWrimo. I didn't win last year because I started halfway through the month so I'm hoping this year I'll actually be able to win.
So far I kind of have a rough plot, its about gods of the seasons, and the plot involves a girl who is the daughter of the Winter and the Summer gods. Sounds really bad but I just started planning it out so I'll see where it goes.

Hi I'm Jess from Canada. This is my first. I'm not expecting to make it my first time but I'm going to try and see what happens.
I've never written anything longer than a short story before.
It's basically going to be about my third year of college and the dissolution of all my college friendships from each of our points of view.

I bought a book called No Plot? No Problem to help me out. I don't know how much it will, hopefully that combined with this comm will do nicely.
