Exactly. I get distracted, I go off on a tangent, I get lost in the idea of 'oh! This disease/planet/fact of biology I just found out would make a great plot point for...' and then don't actually come back to what I was working on.
If I finish my words for today, then I can do that. If not, it gets bracketed and saved for later.
