I'm a third time Nano-er. I won my first attempt, but had to abandon last year due to illness around the 15th of November with about 28,000 words. I have become a much more prolific writer since my first Nano, when I struggled to rack up the daily word count. I don't think it will be a problem this go-round. Wordiness is now an issue! LOL.

I write fanfic for the Doctor Who fandom, and have a plot bunny simply dying to be written.

I'm a newcomer to nanowrimo, but I've been writing fanfics for two years. I have a lot of uncompleted, half-spawned stories posted, wasting away on a USB, and in my head. I want to try this to see if I can get something like this done.

I've written in these fandoms: the mentalist, chronicles of Narnia, x men evolution, avatar ths last airbender, legend of Korra, Naruto, etc...

Hi! I've tried NaNo since '09 and just never had the attention span to finish it, I suppose. This year will be different because I have this idea that I actually want to finish and clean up and maybe try to get published. (Lol, yeah right.)

I love writing fanfic. My current fandoms are Sons Of Anarchy, The Avengers, Green Day, SPN, and a few random ones. :D

This is my second NaNo. :) Last year I won by the 29th (barely made it, heehee), but this year it's going to be tougher since I'm in grad school and have a lot of things coming due in November (presentations, papers, exams... you name it and it's probably due!! xD).

I'm 24, I love to read, I've been writing for pretty much my entire life, a gambit of short stories, novels, and poetry. I also love journaling - I am an avid journaler and this year part of my NaNo is going to come from my past experiences, assuming there are no plot bunnies that show up. Should be interesting to say the least. :) One of my major problems with NaNo is wanting to edit while writing... I struggled with that a lot last year and tend to do that a fair bit on stories and papers while I'm in the middle of them. Whoops. xD

You sound like my twin! Grad school students unite! (Is it crazy I am writing all my papers now to avoid them in November?)

This is my... fourth? Nano. Won two years ago. Blaze of glory!

Last year, things outside the writing realm were rough, and I lost my heart. This year, I find it. It's the most personal story I'll have written, and as much as it scares me to death, it still needs to be told.

I've written Doctor Who fanfic, and I've crossed it over with Harry Potter and Good Omens (on separate occasions, of course).

Eighth time Nano-er, hopefully sixth time winner. I've been suffering from a bad writer's block for the past few months, so I'm hoping NaNoWriMo will help with that. My head's filled with ideas and now all that's left is for me to choose which one to write.

I'm 21, Finnish, redhead, dog owner, married and a knitter.

Nice to meet you all!

Hi! I like Finland and knitting and Geisha chocolate!
I also like dogs but can't really have them in my house (allergies and I already have a cat).

Been around since 2006. Won 2 times. I can't decide if I want to do it this year. I have a lot of to do but then, I wonder, isn't the point to find time when you are terribly busy? I guess I am looking for peeps to talk me into it!

I'm a fourth-time Nano-er and two times winner. =)
I usually struggle with time because I work a full-time job and I'm only able to write for one or two hours per day. Still, Nano is my favorite time of the year and I'm looking forward to it.

I only ever write original for Nano. This time it's going to be a mix between military thriller, cyberpunk, espionage and lots and lots of antoginistic bromance.

Salutations! I am 24 and am a second time NaNo explorer, the first (and last) being 2010, which was a solid victory in word count for this recovering author. And that's really what I am. I was an avid writer and artist my entire life, always crafting and creating stories, and I surrendered it in undergraduate studies to take care of my siblings. It was a tough time. But now I'm back!

This year is going to be crazy because, in addition to working full time, I am also a grad student and, like the poster above, November is the crazy crunch time for everything being due and midterms sneaking up on you. (They do this on purpose, it seems.) I think the 1,667 words a day thing will be good for my brain in just giving me a chance to relax, so hence I'm going to give it a go. Can't hurt, right? (Well, not that much!)

Hello! I've done NaNo on and off since 2006, but I've never won- mainly because I'll get an idea to write something else when I'm in the middle of a plot, so as a result I have A LOT of unfinished works both on paper and in my head.

I'm not 100% sure that I'm participating fully in NaNo this year, but I think I'll at least try to set some kind of goal for myself, since now I actually have an idea! I just need to get back to writing, which I haven't done a lot since I moved away from home.

Hey there. I'm 21 and this will be my fourth year doing NaNo. I won only on my second year. While I don't expect myself to make the 50k mark due to many interfering life situations *coughcollegecough*, I gave myself a goal of doing another round at the novel I made last year by writing up 25k toward it so I can get at least the first part written out. If I finish it before reaching the goal, then I'll start up part 2 of the storyline (time leap, yay!).

I've written original stories for over three years and left many of them unfinished. Now and then I dabble in writing fan fiction, the most recent fandom being Rise of the Guardians. But I don't have the greatest confidence in sharing with others. I can be a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to getting every detail out right.
