Call me Eien. My NaNo for this year is a pokemon fic, based around the gen 1 games (Kanto region but with info all the way up to BW2) based on the simple premise of what if pokemon were more dangerous? Not in a bad, guts and gore way, but...trainers have to take more caution around pokemon, becoming a trainer is stricter and more regulated (thus trainers are eighteen at the youngest), and travelling between towns/cities takes a couple of days at least. Part of my inspiration is this picture (http://arvalis.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d5hszwc) by arvalis on deviantART, and the other part is the fanon pokedex on TVTropes :)

Edit: I should add, I'm doing this largely as a warm-up for my 2013 year of writing: 1k per day for every month except November, where I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo again.

welcome! i like your idea a lot - i watched Pokemon a lot while i was babysitting a younger cousin and couldn't help but wonder what it would be like with this kind of redesign.

edited because spelling is kind of a good thing.
