I had really not planned on making an introduction post here. Basically because I figured that there were plenty of others who were occupying the space with their introductions, and those were more interesting than whatever I could ever hope to produce.
But then I got bored.
Really bored.
And since I've done most of my mandatory reading for class, and played my share of Neopets games, I figured: why the hell not?
But, alas, I'm merciful, and will put most of it behind a cut.
Hi, I'm Anne. I'm 21 years old, and this is my first year at this.

I had originally planned to participate last year, but my professors wanted it otherwise and heaped three essays on my thin frail shoulders. The essays were supposed to be handed in between November 28th and December 6th.
That basically meant that any attempt at writing 50,000 words then would basically be a doomed attempt from the start. I overdosed on caffeine nevertheless, and now have a pretty little heartburn that acts up from time to time. Which means very little or no coffee unless I want to projectile vomit from pain!
I'm Norwegian, but I recently moved to Denmark to study. I have previously studied English and History at university in Norway, and now I'm giving in to my nerdish need to have things organized and am a Library and Information Science student.
I have three plants that live on the brink of life and death, as my absentmindedness cause me to forget to water them, and when I do remember them, I give them too much. I really hope they will live through November. Or even survive until then.
I wrote my first "book" when between 14 and 16. It was about several kids at a Scottish boarding school. One of the main characters was called Henrietta, but nicknamed Harry. Needless to say: this was before I knew the Harry Potter books existed.
This year I'm thinking of going into the fantasy genre. I even have a title and everything. *beams proudly* I haven't got loads of characters outlined, or more than a really basic outline. But I do have a title.
I will be writing in English, despite the fact that it is my third written language. Ultimately because others on my friends-list who haven't started learning Norwegian, yet, have expressed a desire in following my blood, sweat, and tears through LJ.
My 2004 Nanowrimo attempt will be called Edie. If, for some obscure reason, any of you are interested in Edie's progress, or my progress with writing it, then you should probably pop over to my LJ, friend me and check out this post. If you're not interested, then you don't do that.
Okay. *thinks* now I'm done. Maybe I should go do some of the things I must get done before November 1st...
