Okay, okay, this might be posted somewhere on the NaNo FAQ, but I'm too lazy to go there. And I'd rather talk to you nice folks, anyway. ;-)
For quite awhile, I've been pretty set on continuing a story/trilogy thingie for NaNo this year. Thing is, I think I'd rather do a completely new story instead, I guess to capture that whole "a novel in a month" magic.
Anyway, I have this sort of...idea/premise for a new story, but no plot (I know, no plot, no problem, right? That doesn't work so well for me). I know that NaNo is done on the honor system, but is it technically legal to work on both stories and to spread the 50,000 between the two?
Just wondering, 'cause it would be really great if I could try to do the new story (if I can't figure out a plot by Nov.) but still have the old one in case if it doesn't work out--without losing any time/words.
Thanks!
