Age: 23
Current Location: Hawaii
Anyhoo, I'm in the Army, and generally write fantasy, sometimes with a strong shounen-ai slant. Last year's novel was about the reasons why you -don't- want to be the object of affection of an undead Fairy King. *shakes head*
Last year was my first year actually attempting NaNoWriMo, after a few years of saying I would. I made it with a little over 50K, which I'm proud of, considering during that November, I was deployed to Iraq.
Though huddling in a bunker and cursing the Iraqi insurgents roundly -did- give me time to think over where I wanted to go next. I suppose I should thank them...
This year, I'll do it again. Not sure what I'm doing it over, though a friend has given me the suggestion of actually writing out the mythology and history and world-view of the people I have created through role-play. Complete with foot-notes and apendices! I -do- want to be a historian...Think it'll make the big Five-Oh?
