Okay, so this is my first post on this community. Hello all! I'm Emily... or Mariana as I am known on the forums. And I come bearing a question.
This year (like last year) I am planning to go into November with a few characters (including a handful of gods) and a premise. This year my premise is basically my title. And my title is (drum roll please):
The 5 Rules of Make-Believe
I don't usually work to titles, coz they change half way through, but this one came up and jumped on me and is threatening to hold me hostage until I write 50k on it. That, of course, is all very well, as Nano is coming up again, the only problem is - I only have four rules! I will now wait for the gasps of horror!
The current rules are:
1-Never reveal your true identity
2-What starts mae-believe stays make-believe
3-Reality must never enter Make-Believe
4- oooh darn, I can't remember my fourth rule... I have it written down somewhere... uh, right... yeah, there is is...
4-Don't trust anything/anyone.
5-?????
The premise is basically that at some point in my novel all these rules are broken with consequences varying from horrendous, to hilarious. But I need that fifth rule, because The Four Rules of Make-Believe just doesn't have the same ring to it.
So, if you've got any ideas for the fifth rule, or any suggestions for alterations to the other four that I could consider (they probably need tweaking) please, tell me!
Nice to meet you all. Good luck with your own Nanovels. Thanks.
PS. the Make-Believe is probably going to turn into a sort of separate world... if that helps.
Thanks again ^_^;;
