National Novel Writer's Month

As we head into less than 2 weeks until the insanity begins, I think it's safe to remind you all of the community rules we have here to save your friends list and sanity during the month of November.

There are two posts that will go up on a daily basis.

One will be the daily word count post. It's in THIS POST ONLY that you can post where you are in your nano, using either just text or all those pretty wordcount bars you'll see popping up over the internet.

The other will be the excerpt post. This is the place to post those tiny snippets of your novel that you wrote and are like "OMG I must show everyone this awesome scene/dialogue exchange/sex scene" etc.

There are times, especially on weekends, where these posts might not go up until noon EST because I like to sleep in and didn't post it before I went to bed, and the other mods do too. Please just be patient and go back to writing, knowing that it will go up eventually.

I'm going to utilize tags this year instead of the memories, so I will have the links to the tag list in the profile starting on November 1st when I post the first ones.

Finally, sometime in the next day, I will make an offical pimp you website/nano lj/etc. post. There will be a link to that in the profile as well. I suggest everyone use it, posting your places there and talking to others as well.

And finally... has anyone taken up the challange at making a layout for this journal? If you have, please leave a comment and let me know. If not, ramdonomo already updated it for this year with the same design as last year to have in case no one wanted to.
