Well, I've been lingering around here since last year, I don't post all that much as I tend to get a little side tracked around here during the day as things get a little chaotic and busy at times. So I figured I might as well go ahead and introduce myself. I'm a 30 year old married mom of 3 kids and I've pretty much been writing my entire life, minus the 10 year writer's block I ended up getting after finnishing highschool, but last year's nanowrimo took care of that :D
I entered last year, starting 5 days into November when I just happened to come across Nanowrimo, was the first time I'd ever heard of it and decided to give it a try. I hadn't written anything more than a page or two (before giving up) in over 10 years, and so I was very happy last year when I reached the goal of 50,000.
I'm not sure yet what I'm going to write about, I have an idea in my head of doing a remake of Sleeping Beauty, perhaps a modern day time travel fantasy thing. I'm hoping to do a little more brainstorming and thinking later on tonight, listen to some music and maybe get a few more ideas flowing.
I'm pretty determined to win again this year, I can't write too much during the day, as my kids keep me pretty busy, but I figure I managed to win last year when my twins were only about 5 months old, I can easily do it again this year. It helps that I'm a nighthawk and enjoy staying up late at night, not to mention the fact I NEED to stay up late, in order to get in my own ME time, or else I'd probably go crazy lol. So November, Bring it on!
