Movies are never shot in script order, so why write a novel that way?
A helpful NaNo hint: if you write from an outline, you'll never "get stuck" anywhere in your novel. You can just skip to the next part and go back to the nasty stuff later. My NaNo novel will have a plot and two subplots. I intend to write the subplots first, then the main plot, then cut and paste them together in interlocking layers.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
