Catch that bandwagon!

I just joined
nanowrimo, and what do I see but a series of introductions, so I suppose it's my turn.
I joined LJ back in August, for the purpose of joining
musemuggers_2, for the purpose of honing my writing and finding my voice. I've been working on a Jane Austen fanfic (sequel to Pride and Prejudice) for the last couple of years, which is posted at the Derbyshire Writer's Guild. (It's actually nearly two years since I posted a chapter - when I get writer's block, I get a big case of it!) That one is, however, all done but the final polish and then the shouting - big phew!
I had never heard of NaNo before
dubaiyan mentioned it in her x-posts to DWG, so obviously this is my first time doing NaNo, and I'm a little bit scared. I've started a separate account for the writing,
nanowendybarron, which thus far just has the brave "I'm gonna do it!" post in it. (And which, it occurs to me, I might have been better to post this message from. :-} )
Thus far, my plan is to spend November writing the sequel to my current sequel. (Have I mentioned that I haven't quite found my own writing voice yet?) Anything might change in the meantime. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's snippets, and maybe writing some that are worth reading themselves!
