Well, I'm looking to make some slight changes to my plot as a new character just decided to reveal himself. Don't you just love that? :P

I also just created a journal on Blogger. XD It's part of my 'online blog' addiction. So I'm not sure if I should put my nano HERE, or Blogger. Or even Xanga. o_O I'm also not sure whether or not I should protect (Friends lock) them. Doesn't matter if you do that or not? Because at the Evolution forums, someone told me it was best to friends lock your stuff so you retain publishing rights or something.

Any advice? Because I want people to read my NaNoCrap! That's the best part of it, right?

My understanding of the issue (and allow me to specify in advance that it's entirely possible that I haven't a clue what I'm talking about) is that the virtue of friends-locking things that you may want to publish is that the publisher will want to restrict how many people get free access to it.

I could be entirely wrong, however.

You've answered your own question with the last sentence. If you've plans to publish the story, don't lose 1st rights because anyone on the internet can read it for free (it's like, why pay for something when you get the thing free, by the writer no less?). By frienslocking your post so that a few people will see it, you're maintaing that right.

friends it, then add people to your friends list who you would like to read it, or who are interesting in reading it, or memeber of nanowrimo. Best of both worlds, then.
