Hello, I'm Lori, and I've wanted to be a writer since I was eleven. I live in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, which is a suburb of the capital city of Madison. I love my husband, my cats, and American football (the husband and I are shareholders in the Green Bay Packers).
My favorite book series include Harry Potter, Princess Diaries, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings (including The Hobbit), and especially The Chronicles of Narnia, which inspired me to read a lot and want to be a writer.
I'm trying to write the fantasy novel series I've dreamt of since I was eleven. Since I started reading the Harry Potter series in 2001, I've collected ideas and written notes and done a lot of research. Finally I have a rough outline for the series, and I hope to write the first book during NaNoWriMo next month. -Lori
I am Molly and I'm a 25-year-old caffeine-based life form existing in a dreary, blue-collar port suburb north of Seattle. I'm going into my second year of being a married woman. I currently make my monies by waitressing, though hopefully that'll all change when I graduate from college.
Non-noveling interests include reading (I love Cormac McCarthy, Flannery O'Connor, William S. Burroughs, Hunter Thompson, H.P. Lovecraft... and many, many more.) I also love culinary arts, thirft-store hunting and watching movies (I worship at the altar of the Brothers Coen.)
I wrote and won in 03,04 and 06. This year I have four plots and I'm waffling between all of them, trying to decide which would be the most fun for November. Either it's going to be post-apocalyptic steampunk, literary fiction/adventure, horror, or science-fiction/adventure. DECISIONS.
Aloha. I'm a junior in high school and this is my 4th year doing NaNo. I won last year for the first time, and hope to continue that trend!
Most of my non-noveling time is spent homeworking (which takes up far too much time), photographing, reading, and generally faffing about downtown Holland or Kalamazoo (Michigan, where I live!).
I'm still working on a plot for this year. I want to do a general "college kids get in trouble" because that's what I know at the moment but I also want a supernatural aspect ...who knows. I hope to hear from you all more as the October slowly slips away...
Hi, my name is Suzanne. I live in Wisconsin between two large (and beautiful) lakes. This is my 2nd year participating, although last year I didn't do so great. I'm determined to do better this year. To motivate myself, I created a lj community nanosophieblack named after my main character.
my genre is erotic fiction, so all the (future) entries will be locked, but feel free to join if you want. I'm always happy to hear constructive criticism, but if you're not comfortable with sex, you probably won't want to read it.
in my spare time I paint, work for and see bands, and dream about quitting my job to make jewelry. my favourite authors include, Tom Robbins, Jane Austen, Carl Hiaasen, and CS Lewis.
I'm really looking forward to the caffeine and sleeplessness that November is going to bring :)
Hi guys! Mads here. I'm 16 and live in Kansas. Last year I hit the 50k deadline but I still haven't managed to finish my novel, Good Luck With That. I'm very close though. I plan to take a day before November rolls around and finish the story.
As for this year? I honestly have no clue what I'm going to do. I have an idea that I'm fond of but don't know if I want to use it. It's a bit more serious than I really wanted to write for NaNo.
Other non-writing interests include theatre(my love), singing, dancing, reading, movies, and just generally goofing off with friends.
Hola! I'm Chrissy and I live in deep South Texas, the farthest you can go and still live in the US. lol I have a knack for learning languages, as I can read both Spanish and French besides English and I am working on Russian and German. I'm fresh meat in NaNo, only because I learned about it too late last year. I've written since I was in fourth grade, I'm a Sophomore in high school. I'm going to be 16 this coming monday <-woohoo! And I'm really looking forward, as I am a writing veteran of over 200k words. I'm just hoping that my choir performance of Carmina Burana doesn't screw up my mojo for NaNo, as our performance is Oct. 30...
But I play piano, sing, make icons, act, and do many other geeky things in my spare time, like fangirl over Star Wars and the Mandalorians.
Hey, I'm Janet, I'm 23 and I live in Montreal, when I'm not reading or writing I study social sciences and work for a telephone survey company, both part time. I'm a tv and music junkie, I love to play sudoku and kakuro. As for this year I have no clue what to write.
