Hello hello hello! My name is Quinn and I'm a senior English major at Smith College. This is my 3rd time doing NaNoWriMo, but the first 2 didn't get very far because of school. But right now I'm only taking 3 classes instead of the usual 4 and have cut way back on my extracurriculars, so I'm planning to make a real go of it! I'm also doing a lot of advance planning for the first time. It's going to be about a college girl in Manhattan at the tail end of WWII. (I need to figure out how to do a bit of background research in the next couple weeks.) Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting to know people here. If anyone wants to be LJ friends then feel free to add me. I'm looking for people to be writing buddies (http://www.nanowrimo.org/user/116097) on the site too. :)

I'm Kate, live near Reading in the UK. I'm 16, this is my first year, aiming to win but am doubtful due to school and general pressure (I'm doing AS atm). I have no plot ideas, no character ideas, and no general ideas. I just really want to have a go at NaNoWriMo, and this year is better than next!
