Word Count Challange!

Alright folks... after reading and responding to a few people in this thread, I've come to notice that there is a large group of us who are behind in our word counts.

Don't worry, I'm SO included in this. Been a rough week.

So... here's my fun challange for the day.

Today is day 7. According to the stats, if you do 1,667 words a day, you should be around 11,669 today.

What I challange everyone today is this. If you are under that goal, reply with your Word Count. Then I want you all to find that time today to write. Forget about the 50K challange for today.

Today, your challange is to get to 11,700.

At the end of your day, come back to this post and reply to your own with your updated word count. See how far you could push yourself today. I'm going to be right along beside you.

And for those who are ahead of the game, feel free to come in and send people encouraging replies to keep them going.

Ugh. As of this comment, I'm only at 6,671. SO behind. The last few days I haven't written anything because my brain refuses to work. I'm going to try to push myself as much as possible, but with all kinds of real life stress, it's really hard to be creative. [sigh]

my muse has been driving me crazy. i have a notebook filled with pages of shorthand messages and things my characters keep whispering to me that they want to accomplish but...

life has (since wednesday night) delivered the following to me:
1. in-laws for four days. (long story but this is not the place for detail.)
2. a sick dog.
3. two sick colleagues (leaving me the work of three people)
4. last minute "please work on this this evening when you're at and should be relaxing" requests from directors and associates
5. a cranky husband who suddenly seems to have lost the capability of doing *anything* for himself.


life... please give me a break? please? pretty please?
