Hi, I'm Lani. It's my first year doing NaNo-- I've been aware of NaNo for a few years but this is the first time that I've felt that I'm intellectually ready and I have enough time. There's never going to be a perfect time within the next sixty years for me to write a novel in a month, so I might as well start now! My novel is (supposed to be) from two perspectives: a fifteen year old daughter and her father. The daughter writes about events happening in her life that drudge up people/events from her father's past, which he reveals to her through his narrative. They both write in first/second person, as if they were talking to each other.

Some other info about me: I'm a huge fan of theatre, especially musical theatre. My favourite plays/musicals are Rent, Grey Gardens, Spring Awakening, Angels in America and A Chorus Line. My favourite movies are Chicago, Pieces of April and A Beautiful Mind.

I'm in high school in Toronto, Ontario.

For some inexplicable reason, I posted my intro in yesterday's thread.

Anyways I have decided to use this sn, so:

I've only won once, and what a messed up piece of James Joycian metaphysical bull that was.

I'm 23, and student teaching and for some reason think that that doesn't imply I should take a year off from NaNo.

I've encouraged my AP Lit students to join in the fun. They looked at me like I was crazy.

My interests: Improv, tabletop gaming, BSG, Star Wars, Twilight, Buffy, various other nerdery.
