Wow, by Saturday NaNo will have begun and we will be heading into the craziness. Are you ready?

... come on, that was weak. ARE YOU READY?!

*grins* Ok, that was better.

Anyway, here's your plot help post for the week. Simple as always.

Add a comment with the help you need. Don't be shy. We're all writers here, and you never know, someone might give you a new plot bunny to add to your NaNo.

Reply to others and help them. You might be the one holding that bunny.

And just be awesome :)

Ha, first of all, I think you're psy. Especially since I didn't mention the genders of the characters, and you hit K's gender right off; he's definitely male!

The first thing getting in K's way is *getting* here. C was lucky enough to find the same sort of crystal that sucked him through in the first place in his New York city's Glades Park,(alternate uni) and was pulled through again, but this time to Grant Park, Chicago, not Central Park, NYC. K misses C; wants to see him, but doesn't know how in all holy hel to get to *this* world to do that. And once he gets here, he doesn't know how he'll find C, especially since K figures he won't be able to use C's wings as a distinguisher since he knows that C would have the good sence to at least *try* to keep them hidden.

C's never seen Chicago, and I'd thought about putting a few instances in the nano where he gets lost and has to be "rescued" by another character which will grate on his sensibilities because he's a very independent personality who doesn't like having to be "helped unnecessarily" even when he knows it *is* necessary. It annoys him to have to swallow his pride and ::gasps:: actually *admit* that he needs help from someone. Or most anyone anyway. He has a small group of others where that isn't the cace (of which K is one) but for the most part he's... well, sort of proud, and just a little vain (He has a bit of fae ancestry, you see)
I have little things; C's not used to people not knowint about telepathy, so the phon annoys the hell out of him. Cars freak him out a little, especially since they move about thirty miles faster than what he's used to; he's not used to having to pay for more than just a room; he's having to figure out our money again because in yhis world they used gold, silver, bronze and the like, and he's used to seeing a gryphons crest, a brownie's face and a pisies figure, and it takes him a while to realize that the people here )or most of them) really don't believe that these things are actually *real* as he does.

Culture shock can be very fun to play with, since from the sound of it, that's exactly what C will be going through, with the added problems his pride'll get him into. How's he planning to get to New York (or wherever his friend is)? Does K have any plans or is he going to start the story trying to formulate them?

It looks like these two, at least, have lots of problems to face. As long as they keep trying to meet the challenges, you sound like you've got plenty of plot.

Hope that was helpful.
Cheers!

C doesn't really have a plan to get to NYC... yet. All he knows is that he wants to get there- And get there *now, damnit!*

K's starting out the story in the AU, and it's from there that he's trying to figure out and formulate a plan to get *here* (I have to throw true fantasy in my stories; I really can't help that, they always go down that road anyway)

It'll be interesting, because when C left the world of ours and went into K's, something gave him all the knowledge he needed, IE money stuff; what to do/not to do, that sort of thing. But apparently they didn't think it was necessary the other way around since this was where he came from in the first place. I'm thinking they didn't take into account that C'd been there for just over a year by then, and had so immerced himself in *that* world to the point where he was starting to call *it* home, that by then he would have forgotten a lot of the things pertaining to the Chicago that is actually here, not *there*.

A's actually going to be sort of like the rock he leans on. The one in *this* world that really "gets" him. She has her own differences to deal with: She's blind for one, for another she has interesting ideas about books (everything exists- somewhere. It may not be *here* but it *has* to exist somewhere or how could the writers write about it?) so she isn't surprised when she finds out that Craimar can really, actually fly. It more fascinates her than anything else.

Cheers back, thank you! :)
