POST YOUR NOVEL EXCERPT HERE!!!!

Please keep it relatively short, and only in this thread. Thanks!

No more than 4000 words, and please no multiple posts!

Amazing. I'd be interested in reading your novel when it is finished. I like how you took something that might be controversial and gave it a complexity, so things are not what they seem at first sight. I also love your prose and the repetition - it's almost poetic.

Thank you so much. I often have a hard time moving plot forward because I get so caught up in the smallest details of what I'm writing--a lot of the time my fiction feels like a series of poems smashed together, and I have to try really hard not to go through editing all the extraneous stuff before I'm done. But thank you, again, and I'd love for you to read my novel when it's finished as well.

I don't think any of your words are extraneous actually. It is what good poetry is, finding meaning in unlikely things. I hope you don't mind that I added you. Please do let me know if you finish the book! I've never read anything like it, and I'm very interested in how it would turn out. :)

of course not! I will add you back and we can both keep abreast of each others' writing. It'll probably be some time before I'm finish because what I'm working on will no doubt be far more than 50,000 words, but I am determined to persevere.
